PekiTime Privacy Policy

PekiTime is a simple time-tracking service created and operated by Blu Dove Designs, LLC ("PekiTime," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, when we share it, and the choices available to you.

This policy applies to the PekiTime website and PekiTime products, including PekiTime for Solo Pros and PekiTime for Homeschoolers.

PekiTime is designed to collect only the information reasonably needed to provide its time-tracking features. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use PekiTime account or student information for targeted advertising.

PekiTime for Homeschoolers is designed for use by an Account Owner, such as a parent or other authorized adult, to manage homeschool time records. An Account Owner may create and manage a student record for a student of any age.

Independent student login access is available only for students age 13 or older. A student under age 13 may have a student record, courses, and time entries managed by the Account Owner, but may not be given an independent PekiTime student login.

When an Account Owner invites a student to have login access, the Account Owner is required to confirm that the student is age 13 or older and that the Account Owner is the student's parent or legal guardian, or otherwise has authority to authorize the student's use of PekiTime.

PekiTime does not intentionally offer independent accounts or login access to children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has been given an independent PekiTime login or has directly provided personal information contrary to these requirements, please contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

Account Owners control the student records they create. They may edit student information and, subject to preservation of existing homeschool records within the product's archive functions, manage or delete information through the service. Account deletion permanently removes the household and associated PekiTime records as described below.

PekiTime uses Stripe to process payments and manage billing for paid PekiTime plans. Payment-card information is entered into Stripe-hosted payment interfaces and is processed by Stripe. PekiTime does not directly receive or store full payment-card numbers or card security codes.

PekiTime receives and stores limited billing and transaction information needed to determine and maintain access to PekiTime. Depending on the transaction, this may include Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, the PekiTime product or price purchased, subscription status, paid-through or renewal information, cancellation status, checkout or payment identifiers, and payment or transaction status.

PekiTime offers annual subscriptions and one-time Lifetime purchases. Stripe may also process promotion codes, renewals, failed payments, billing-method updates, invoices, subscription cancellations, and related billing activity. When a user manages an Annual subscription through the Stripe Customer Portal, Stripe processes the billing changes and PekiTime receives the resulting subscription status needed to maintain account access.

A promotion or discount, including a transaction reduced to $0, may still generate transaction and entitlement records needed to verify the purchase and grant the appropriate PekiTime access.

Stripe processes payment and billing information under its own privacy practices and terms. PekiTime uses Stripe-provided transaction and subscription information only as reasonably necessary to administer purchases, subscriptions, billing status, fraud prevention, support, and access to PekiTime.

PekiTime uses cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies as needed for authentication, security, preferences, and core application functions. Browser storage may also be used for limited application preferences or conveniences, such as authentication/session state, appearance preferences, or recently used selections.

The PekiTime applications do not use these technologies to serve third-party targeted advertising and do not currently use non-essential in-app analytics or behavioral tracking.

The public PekiTime marketing website may use Google Analytics. If additional non-essential analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies are added in the future, this Privacy Policy and any required consent mechanisms will be updated as appropriate.

We retain account and PekiTime records while an account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain legitimate business and transaction records, protect the service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or comply with legal obligations.

PekiTime for Homeschoolers allows certain student and course records to be archived so historical homeschool records can be preserved without appearing in active tracking views.

An Account Owner may permanently delete their PekiTime account. For PekiTime for Solo Pros, account deletion removes the user's time records, clients, uploaded report logo, profile information, access record, and authentication account. If an Annual subscription is active, PekiTime attempts to cancel the Stripe subscription before deleting the account; if that cancellation cannot be completed, account deletion is stopped rather than falsely reporting success.

For PekiTime for Homeschoolers, account deletion is designed to remove the Account Owner's household, students, courses, time records, invitations, associated student login accounts, and related PekiTime profile information. Account deletion cannot be undone.

Deleting a PekiTime account does not necessarily delete records independently retained by Stripe or another service provider for transaction processing, fraud prevention, legal compliance, tax, accounting, or other legitimate purposes under that provider's own retention obligations.

PekiTime's managed infrastructure maintains backups and technical logs for security, reliability, and recovery. Deleted information may remain temporarily in backups or logs until those systems are overwritten or expire through their normal retention processes. Certain transaction, security, or legal records may be retained longer where reasonably necessary.

Depending on the PekiTime product and your account permissions, you may be able to review, correct, archive, export, or delete information directly within PekiTime.

You may also contact us to ask a privacy question or request assistance concerning personal information associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting on a request.

Privacy rights can vary depending on where you live. Where applicable law provides additional rights concerning access, correction, deletion, or other handling of personal information, we will respond to valid requests as required by law.

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. PekiTime uses account-based access controls intended to keep account, household, student, client, time-entry, and uploaded-logo information available only to authorized users.

PekiTime's applications use encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections for data in transit, and managed infrastructure provides protections for stored application data. Sensitive server credentials and payment-processing secrets are kept on the server rather than exposed to the browser.

No online service or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users are responsible for protecting access to their own email accounts, devices, authentication links, and PekiTime credentials.

PekiTime is designed as a paid, ad-free service. We do not display third-party advertising inside PekiTime, sell personal information, sell client information, or sell student information. We do not use student or client records for targeted advertising.

If these practices materially change in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated before the changed practices are implemented as required by applicable law.
