About
Built from real life. Designed to stay simple.
PekiTime didn’t start as a software company looking for a market. It grew out of ordinary problems in my own life and the thought, “There has to be a simpler way to do this.”
Hi, I’m Lisa.
I’m a designer and developer with more than 23 years of experience in design and web development. I’m also a solo creative, a homeschool mom, and someone who genuinely enjoys building useful things.
Over the years, I’ve built websites, systems and tools for clients—and plenty of little solutions for myself. I tend to notice when something that should be simple has become unnecessarily complicated.
That’s ultimately where PekiTime came from.

Different needs. Same philosophy.
The two versions of PekiTime solve very different problems, but they’re built around the same idea:
What does this app actually need to do?
If something doesn’t make that job easier, it probably doesn’t belong.
That thinking is behind a lot of the choices in PekiTime:
- Simple timers because tracking time shouldn’t create more administrative work.
- No accounting integration because sometimes a little manual control is simpler than another complicated connection.
- A web app so you can use PekiTime where you work—computer, tablet or phone—without being tied to one device.
- Minimal student information because a homeschool time tracker doesn’t need to know everything about your child.
- Parent-owned homeschool accounts because parents are ultimately managing their family’s records.
Simple doesn’t mean thoughtless. A lot of thought goes into deciding what PekiTime doesn’t need.
